1. Information We Collect

When you use RunHome, we collect:

• Account information: Email address, display name, and password (hashed).
• Household data: Shopping lists, chores, meal plans, expenses, calendar events, habits, memories, pinboard notes, watch lists, and trip plans you create.
• Photos: Images you upload for recipes, memories, receipts, and chore verification.
• Usage data: Feature usage counts for AI quota tracking.
• Device information: Push notification subscription details (endpoint, keys) when you enable notifications.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide RunHome's household management features. Specifically:

• Displaying your household information to authenticated household members.
• Sending notifications (push, Telegram) based on your preferences.
• Processing AI features (summaries, nudges, receipt scanning) using third-party AI providers.
• Managing your subscription and billing through Stripe.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe: Email and subscription data for payment processing.
• AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI): Household data sent for AI feature processing. Data is not retained by these providers beyond the API request.
• Mailgun: Email address for transactional emails (confirmation, password reset).
• Cloudflare: Request metadata for security and performance.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secure infrastructure. Photos are stored in cloud storage (Azure Blob Storage) or local storage depending on deployment. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Export all your household data in JSON format from Settings.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
• Correction: Update your personal information through the app.
• Portability: Download your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Cookies

RunHome uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children

RunHome is designed for household use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
